Fuse Diagnostics has secured £1m in a funding round led by The FSE Group, with participation from new and existing angel investors including Cambridge Capital Group. The capital will be directed towards commercialising the company's proprietary Flip platform, scaling manufacturing capabilities at its Cambridge headquarters, and advancing its assay development pipeline across sectors such as food safety and life sciences research.
The company's instrument-free Flip platform utilises proprietary amplification technology and a disposable test design to detect pathogens and contaminants without the need for specialist laboratory infrastructure. This approach aims to reduce testing complexity and delays across diverse industries, including water quality, bioprocessing, and plant agriculture.
The fresh capital will support Fuse as it broadens its commercial reach and validates new assays alongside strategic industry partners, positioning the enterprise to meet growing demand for rapid onsite diagnostics.
