Frontier Health develops AI tools designed to streamline administrative workflows and patient care coordination for the NHS.
Frontier Health has raised $16m in a seed round led by Atomico, with participation from firstminute capital and XYZ Venture Capital. The funding will support the expansion of the company's AI tool, JUNO, across additional National Health Service trusts, alongside product development and team growth.
JUNO is designed specifically for administrative coordinators rather than clinicians, focusing on tasks such as managing patient flow, following up on test results, and mitigating delays. Early deployment at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust demonstrated significant efficiency gains, reducing median patient pathway times by 22% and saving staff days over an eight-week period.
Investor perspective
"Most enterprise AI is still looking for proof that it works in the real world. Frontier Health already has it – inside one of the most complex and demanding environments on the planet"
