Fraiya is a UK-based medtech startup developing artificial intelligence tools to enhance pregnancy ultrasound scans and maternal healthcare. The company builds software designed to automate image acquisition, quality checks, and clinical reporting for fetal medicine.
Fraiya has secured £3.5m in pre-seed funding from backers including RAW Ventures and Cedars-Sinai Ventures. The capital will be directed towards clinical deployment across the UK and EU, regulatory submissions including FDA approval, and expansion into adjacent product lines.
The funding follows recent regulatory milestones, including CE-marking for the company's flagship FraiyaScan device under EU medical device rules. The startup is also preparing for a multi-centre randomised controlled trial across four NHS hospitals in partnership with King's College London, backed by the National Institute for Health and Care Research.
