Griffin Gaming Partners has backed the new Manchester-based mobile game studio founded by the creators of Playdemic.
ForthStar is a mobile game development studio based in Manchester. The company was established by industry veterans to create engaging, mass-appeal titles.
ForthStar has secured £7.9m in a seed funding round led by Griffin Gaming Partners. The capital will support the newly launched Manchester-based mobile game studio as it builds its team and develops its first title.
The founders, Paul Gouge and Alex Rigby, previously created Playdemic and bring extensive industry experience to their latest venture. The team aims to apply a player-first development approach to the competitive mobile gaming market.
With sufficient funds in place following the backing, the studio intends to focus on cultivating creative talent and establishing sustainable workplace practices, including a four-day working week.
