Footfalls and Heartbeats secures £1.5m Series A investment led by Foresight Group
The Nottingham smart textiles firm has raised £1.5m to support its expansion plans.
Footfalls and Heartbeats develops and manufactures patented smart sensor fabrics for medical and sporting applications. The company is based in Nottingham.
Footfalls and Heartbeats has secured a £1.5m Series A investment round led by Foresight Group through the Midlands Engine Investment Fund. Additional backing came from the University of Nottingham and several new and existing high net worth investors, with discussions ongoing to bring in further participants. The capital will be directed towards expanding the team and advancing technology development for next-generation products.
This follows an initial backing by Foresight in late 2018 through the Midlands Engine Investment Fund. The company has since grown its customer base and advanced its offerings to meet rising global demand for intelligent textiles.
