Floww raises £5m in a seed round from angel investors and family offices to expand access to venture capital.
The seed round was backed by angel investors including Ramon Mendes De Leon, Duncan Simpson-Craib, Angus Davidson, Stephane Delacote, and Pip Baker.
Floww provides software designed to connect startups with venture capitalists through merit based evaluation rather than traditional networks. The platform aims to reduce bias in fundraising by letting founders share verified business data.
London based technology platform Floww has secured £5m in a seed round backed by a group of angel investors and family offices. The capital will support the company in its mission to democratise access to venture capital by replacing informal introductions with merit based data evaluation.
Founded by Martijn de Wever, the company addresses systemic biases and inefficiencies in early stage fundraising by helping investors assess startups through verified metrics rather than personal connections. The platform enables founders to present their performance data, diversity metrics, and market traction to prospective backers in a structured format.
The newly raised funds arrive as the firm continues to scale its operations and refine its digital tools for startups and investors. The round features participation from high profile backers including Ramon Mendes De Leon, Duncan Simpson-Craib, Angus Davidson, Stephane Delacote, and Pip Baker.
From the founder
"VC's tend to be small companies and are suffering from an overload of start-ups trying to be in their line of sight. Start-ups on the other hand, are similarly overextended in their overzealous effort to make the improbable possible. For us to take pressure off of both parties, Floww starts by helping the VC analyse companies at scale, and based on merit."
