Flok Health operates an artificial intelligence platform that autonomously diagnoses, treats, and discharges physiotherapy patients.
Cambridge-based Flok Health has secured $12.5m in a Series A financing round led by Albion VC. The capital injection also saw participation from existing backers Eka Ventures and Form Ventures, alongside newcomer Mercia Ventures.
The business has developed an artificial intelligence physiotherapy platform designed to automate patient consultations, diagnoses, and discharge procedures. The fresh funds will be directed towards scaling the automated clinic footprint throughout the UK, broadening clinical capabilities beyond back pain, and pursuing international expansion.
Operating within eleven regions across the National Health Service, the platform currently serves over 2.4 million patients. The technology aims to alleviate strain on overstretched healthcare providers by delivering same-day access to care and reducing waiting lists.
Investor perspective
"The healthcare supply-demand gap remains a major challenge, with over 390,000 people waiting for treatable MSK care in England alone. Finn, Ric and the team have proven that autonomous care pathways can deliver strong outcomes at scale. They’ve earned NHS trust, navigated complex regulations, and built a service that improves access to care. Having proven the model in MSK, we believe the opportunity ahead is far larger,"
