Edinburgh based FC Laboratories has secured £150k in funding from British Design Fund. The capital will support the company as it advances its artificial intelligence platform and brain imaging technology designed to curb workplace accidents caused by human error.

The startup deploys wrist-worn wearables and proprietary neurotech sensors built into hard hats to measure prefrontal cortex blood flow in real-time. These insights feed into a dashboard that alerts employees and supervisors to fatigue and stress risks, encouraging timely interventions across sectors like construction and manufacturing.
