Exonar raises £6.5m led by Beringea to enhance its data discovery platform.
Beringea led the investment alongside Downing Ventures and returning backers.
Exonar provides a data indexing and discovery platform that enables enterprises to map, analyse, and secure their corporate information. The company helps organisations manage large volumes of structured and unstructured data to ensure regulatory compliance.
Exonar has secured £6.5m in a funding round led by transatlantic venture capital firm Beringea, with participation from Downing Ventures alongside existing backers Amadeus Capital Partners and Winton Ventures. The company will use the capital to further enhance its product capabilities, supporting customers in meeting complex data demands such as GDPR and CCPA at scale. The investment arrives as enterprises face mounting regulatory pressures and exponential growth in data volumes.

To receive significant backing from Beringea and Downing Ventures reinforces our belief that the Exonar platform has a significant role to play in enterprise-level data discovery and management. We have a clear vision for future development and the investment will enable us to further enhance our product, enabling our customers to meet current and future data demands such as GDPR and CCPA swiftly, simply and at scale."

Investor perspective
"Data is the backbone of modern business. And yet, it also poses an existential risk, which has traditionally required substantial resources and investment to manage. Exonar transforms this dynamic with a platform that maps and understands petabytes of information in seconds."
