EnsiliTech raises £4.5m in a seed round led by Eos Advisory to scale its vaccine stabilisation technology.

The Bristol based biotech startup secured £4.5m from Eos Advisory, Calculus Capital, and HERmesa to expand manufacturing and drive commercial validation.

EnsiliTech develops room temperature stabilisation technology for vaccines and biologics using silica shell encapsulation. The Bristol based biotech startup aims to eliminate cold chain dependency in pharmaceutical logistics.

EnsiliTech has secured £4.5m in a seed funding round led by Eos Advisory, with backing from Calculus Capital and HERmesa. The Bristol based biotech firm will direct the capital towards scaling its manufacturing infrastructure, recruiting key personnel, and advancing validation work for pharmaceutical integration.

The company has developed a patented process called Ensilication, which encases sensitive biological materials in a protective silica shell. This technique allows vaccines and biologics to remain stable at temperatures up to 50°C without refrigeration.

Co-founded by Dr. Sartbaeva, Stephen Wells, Aswin Doekhie, and Matt Slade, the startup seeks to eliminate vaccine wastage caused by cold chain logistics failures. The fresh funds will also support the pursuit of commercial partnerships across the human and animal health sectors.
