eConsult Health secures £5m from Gresham House Ventures to expand healthcare software
Gresham House Ventures has backed the NHS triage software provider in a round supported by existing shareholders.
eConsult Health provides online consultation systems used extensively across NHS primary and secondary care. Its digital platforms help clinicians triage patients efficiently and streamline healthcare pathways.
NHS triage software provider eConsult Health has secured £5m in a seed investment round led by Gresham House Ventures on behalf of the Baronsmead VCTs, alongside contributions from existing shareholders. The funding will support the company as it expands its operations into secondary care, continuing the rollout of its eTriage and eSpecialist software solutions alongside its established primary care presence.
Founded by general practitioners, eConsult Health supplies digital consultation platforms designed to help clinicians prioritise face-to-face appointments and manage patient flow more efficiently. The fresh capital arrives as the health service faces heightened operational demands following the coronavirus outbreak.
Gresham House Ventures led the transaction through investment director Henry Alty, supported by Maya Ward and James Hendry. The investment firm specialises in scaling technology-driven growth businesses.
