Due provides borderless multi-currency accounts and international payments through a decentralised, non-custodial platform. The firm gives clients direct control over digital assets using blockchain technology.

London-based fintech startup Due has secured £2.7m in a seed round co-led by Semantic and Fabric Ventures. The financing will support the continued development of the company technology and help expand its fiat currency connectivity across additional markets.

Additional backing for the round came from BlockTower, Speedinvest, Polymorphic Capital, Discovery Ventures, and notable angel investors including Itamar Lesuisse, Pavel Karagjaur, and Emil Urmanshin. The firm builds on blockchain infrastructure to offer non-custodial accounts and streamlined international payments.

From the founder

"We believe that most future payments will occur on-chain. In fact, spreads for USD/EUR stablecoin pairs on DEXs are already more attractive than USD/EUR fiat pairs on traditional FX platforms today,"
