Dote secures £1.2m in seed funding to support product development and team expansion ahead of its 2025 retail launch.
The seed round was led by a Dubai-based investment group with backing from individual technology investors.
Dote is a technology and lifestyle brand developing an integrated ecosystem of AI-driven products for parents. Its range includes smart baby monitors, advanced strollers, car seats, and companion apps.
Dote has secured £1.2m in a seed funding round led by a Dubai-based investment group, with participation from business and technology investors including Luke Pilfold-Thomas and Dominic Miller. The fresh capital follows an earlier £600k pre-seed raise and will support the final stages of product development ahead of a 2025 UK retail launch.
Founded in 2018 by Ste Senior, the company combines artificial intelligence with nursery products to alleviate parental stress. Its offerings feature a transferable smart monitor named Dote Buddy and the B-Evolv pushchair system, which incorporates patented steering technology.
In preparation for its commercial rollout, Dote has strengthened its leadership team with several key appointments, including Joe Swanston as sales director. The business is also establishing academic partnerships with universities to supply anonymised infant data for paediatric research.
From the founder
"Parenting has never been so tough and each new generation is burdened with more stress than the last. We don’t think it should be this way and believe that there’s a solution in technology to not only help us remove some of the stress that comes with being a modern-day parent, but also make things easier and happier for us and our children."
