YFM Equity Partners has provided an £8m follow-on investment to support organic growth and acquisitions.
DSP-Explorer is a database and cloud managed services provider operating as an independent Oracle partner. The firm supports enterprise clients with multi-cloud capabilities across Microsoft and Google platforms.
DSP-Explorer has secured £8m in growth private equity backing from YFM Equity Partners. The capital, provided through the YFM Equity Partners Buyout II LP fund, will support the database and cloud services specialist in pursuing both organic expansion and targeted acquisitions.
The funding follows a period of strong performance for the business, which counts nearly 100 staff and a turnover of £23m. Since a management buyout backed by YFM in 2018, the firm has tripled its revenues and profits while expanding its technical footprint across Oracle, Microsoft and Google cloud environments.
Leadership intends to use the injection to accelerate strategic acquisitions, building on its purchase of Explorer UK last year. The partnership will also drive ongoing initiatives in multi-cloud managed services as demand from enterprise customers continues to rise.
From the founder
"We have seen consistently strong growth since YFM’s initial investment, with their funding enabling us to take advantage of market opportunities as well as us benefitting from the team’s strategic insight. Together, we have developed an ambitious plan to scale the business, both in the UK and abroad, through both organic and acquisitive growth, as the sector continues to expand post-pandemic."
