CyTAL secures Seed investment from Origin Capital
Origin Capital has led a seed investment in CyTAL to support the growth of its ProtoCrawler software.
CyTAL develops cyber security fuzz-testing software designed to identify and prioritise vulnerabilities in digital products. Its core offering, ProtoCrawler, helps vendors detect anomalies before deployment.
CyTAL has secured seed funding from Origin Capital to accelerate the commercialisation of its ProtoCrawler cyber security software. The capital will enable the firm to expand its technical development and ramp up its sales and marketing operations.
Origin Capital led the round and will take a seat on the board as the company scales its operations. The investment follows ten months of rapid progress since the firm was incorporated.
ProtoCrawler provides advanced fuzz-testing capabilities by subjecting devices to unexpected inputs to uncover hidden vulnerabilities. Vendors use the software to address potential security flaws early in the development lifecycle.

We’ve listened carefully to what our customers and the market are telling us, and developed ProtoCrawler accordingly. We look forward to welcoming Origin onto the board and exploiting their insights to help us become a leading player in cyber security product assurance and testing software.”"
