CV Wallet operates a verification ecosystem combining a SaaS platform for employers, a career management application for jobseekers, and an advertising exchange for partners. The business was established to bring greater trust and efficiency to recruitment processes.

Skills-based recruitment platform CV Wallet has secured £880k in funding from a group of angel investors. The oversubscribed round closed in two weeks, valuing the pre-revenue business at over $7m.

The capital will be directed towards enhancing jobseeker tools alongside the rapid development of employer products and assessment partnerships. Backers in the round include early investors from the founders previous venture, ClickIQ.

Founders Richard and Beverly Collins previously established ClickIQ, exiting the business to Indeed in 2019. The latest proceeds will support the expansion of their recruitment ecosystem.

From the founder

"The speed at which we secured funding illustrates the scale of the problem we’re addressing – and therefore the opportunity to be part of the solution. Skills-based hiring is the future. It allows employers to pick jobseekers based on their ability rather than their background. In the new world of ChatGPT, which allows people to apply for many jobs quickly, we need Web3 technologies to verify the contents of CVs and keep the hiring process honest."
