London-based mobile banking and bookkeeping platform Countingup has secured £2.3m in a seed funding round led by Forward Partners. The investment also drew participation from Frontline Ventures and JamJar Investments.

The capital will support the company as it pursues its ambition to serve one million small business customers. Countingup currently counts over 4,000 users on its platform.

The mobile application allows small business owners to open a current account in minutes via their smartphone, complete with a sort code, account number, and contactless Mastercard. In addition to banking services, users can manage bookkeeping tasks, generate profit and loss reports, and attach receipts to expenses.
