Cosi Care secures $1m from 43North to fund expansion into the United States.
The UK healthtech firm won the funding as part of the 43North startup competition and the People's Choice Award.
Cosi Care designs medical devices that deliver cooling and soothing sensations for chronic skin conditions such as eczema. The company serves over 50,000 customers in the UK.
Cosi Care has secured $1m in funding after being named one of five winners in the 43North startup competition based in Buffalo, New York. The brand also claimed an additional $25k through the public vote for the People's Choice Award.
Founded in 2018, the healthtech firm developed a medical device providing instant relief for eczema and other skin irritations. The capital will support the company's expansion into the United States market as it seeks to scale its operations globally.
While pushing into North America, Cosi Care confirmed that parts of its supply chain and product development will remain based in the UK alongside planned hiring activity.
