Gresham House Ventures led the seed financing for the London environmental data firm.
Connect Earth provides an environmental data platform that helps financial institutions integrate carbon tracking into their offerings. The company aims to democratise access to sustainability metrics for banks and fintechs.
Connect Earth has secured £4.5m in a seed round led by Gresham House Ventures. The financing drew participation from Love Ventures, Global Brain, The Norinchukin Bank, Portfolio Ventures, Super Capital, and several strategic angel investors. Existing backers Market One Capital, Mustard Seed MAZE, and Venista Ventures also contributed to the raise.
The capital will be deployed to accelerate the company growth across Europe and support its ongoing expansion into the United States market. Connect Earth provides carbon tracking Application Programming Interfaces that enable banks and financial institutions to supply customers with emissions data related to their spending habits.
