London software pioneer Cogna has secured £3.8m in a seed funding round led by Hoxton Ventures. The capital injection will support the company as it deploys its artificial intelligence platform across traditional sectors such as manufacturing and civil engineering.
Additional backing for the round came from Notion Capital and Octopus First Cheque Fund, alongside several prominent angel investors. The fresh funding follows a period of early commercial traction, which includes partnerships with clients such as Cadent Gas.
Established in 2023, Cogna aims to provide bespoke software creation tools that allow domain experts to build customised applications without traditional coding bottlenecks. The firm intends to use the new resources to expand its team and further develop its technology stack throughout the year.
