Clim8 Invest secures £2m from Channel 4 Ventures in a seed follow-on round to scale brand awareness.
Channel 4 Ventures has backed the sustainable investment platform through its media for equity model.
Clim8 Invest operates a sustainable investing application that channels capital into publicly listed companies and green funds focused on tackling the climate crisis. The platform directs retail investments towards core themes including clean energy, smart mobility, and sustainable food.
Clim8 Invest has secured up to £2m in a seed follow-on funding round from Channel 4 Ventures. The capital will be deployed via a media for equity arrangement to scale brand awareness through television advertising campaigns scheduled for later in the year.
The transaction builds upon a previous £5m raise secured by the company in 2020 and follows the commercial launch of its mobile application earlier in the year. Channel 4 Ventures joins the existing investor base as part of this latest financing effort.
Following this transaction, the company plans to launch a public crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube to support its ongoing expansion and product development roadmap, which includes the introduction of junior ISAs and self-invested personal pensions.
