Clim8 Invest secures £2.9m from Crowdcube and existing backers to fund product expansion.
The sustainable investing platform raised the capital from over 1,800 retail participants alongside earlier backers.
Clim8 Invest operates a sustainable investing application that channels capital into publicly listed companies and green funds focused on tackling the climate crisis. The platform directs retail investments towards core themes including clean energy, smart mobility, and sustainable food.
Clim8 Invest has secured £2.9m in a seed follow-on funding round through a crowdfunding campaign hosted on Crowdcube. The raise attracted backing from over 1,800 retail investors alongside existing supporters such as Channel 4 Ventures and 7percent Ventures, bringing the company's total funding to £10m.
The capital will be deployed to accelerate product development and user acquisition. Specifically, the firm intends to expand its workforce, roll out new financial products including a Junior ISA and a Self Invested Personal Pension, and scale its platform operations.
The latest raise coincides with the public rollout of the company's mobile application across app stores. The campaign initially surpassed its £750k target within the first 24 hours, ultimately drawing contributions from participants across more than 50 countries.
