Clerkenwell Health raises £2.1m in seed funding to support psychedelic trials

Clerkenwell Health has secured £2.1m in a seed funding round to support its clinical research operations. The investment saw participation from Lionheart Ventures, Convergence Partners, and Exceptional Ventures, lifting the company's total funding to £2.5m. The capital arrives alongside regulatory approval for the company to host its first clinical trials at its London facility, assessing psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy for terminally ill patients. The organisation plans to use its infrastructure to advance complex mental health treatments in partnership with international drug developers.
