Clara is a legal operating system designed to help founders organise, manage, and scale their businesses through digital tools.

Clara, a legal operating system based in London, has raised more than $3.5m in seed funding from The LegalTech Fund. The capital coincides with the startup exiting its beta period, during which over 1,200 startups signed up to use its self-service legal tools. The funds will support the company as it expands into new jurisdictions and enhances its platform features, including cap table management and document processing.

Additional backing for the company comes from Techstars, 500 Global, Wamda Capital, and Shorooq Partners. Founded in 2018, Clara automates tasks typically handled by lawyers, such as company formation and data room organisation, while facilitating collaboration between founders, investors, and legal counsel.
