CitizenMe offers an ethical data platform that secures consumer information on personal smartphones while allowing brands access for insights. The company provides an alternative to traditional ad tracking techniques used by major tech firms.
CitizenMe has secured £1.5m in a seed follow on funding round to expand its global operations and enhance its technology. The investment was backed by Mercia through the North East Venture Fund, alongside 1818 Capital and private backers.
The company plans to use the capital to grow its presence in the United States and scale its team with twenty new hires. Additional funds will support the advancement of artificial intelligence capabilities as the firm prepares for a cookie free digital environment.
