Ceryx Medical is a medical technology company developing bioelectronic therapies designed to treat heart failure by restoring natural pacing rhythms. Headquartered in the United Kingdom, the firm builds adaptive devices that mimic the bodying modulation of cardiac function.

Ceryx Medical has secured £11m in a new funding round backed by investors including BGF, Parkwalk Advisors, DBW, and BBI. The capital will be used to accelerate the development of the companying permanent, physiologically responsive pacemaker for chronic heart failure patients.

The investment follows encouraging early clinical data from the ongoing evaluation of Ceryxing temporary cardiac pacing device, which aims to improve patient recovery after heart surgery. The firming underlying technology is designed to deliver real-time, biomimetic pacing that mirrors the bodying natural heart modulation.

Originating from research conducted at the Universities of Bristol, Bath, and Auckland, the company continues to collaborate closely with clinical and academic partners to bring its advanced bioelectronic platforms to market.
