Candidate.ID is a Glasgow-based recruitment software provider offering a talent pipeline platform for employers and staffing agencies. Its technology integrates with applicant tracking systems to deliver daily hot leads and streamline the hiring process.

Scottish recruitment technology start-up Candidate.ID has secured £1m in seed investment, building on a previous injection of funds earlier in the year. The total comprises a crowdfunding campaign that brought in £500k from 550 investors alongside an earlier £500k backing from Jacobo Invest UG.

The Glasgow-based firm plans to direct the fresh capital towards enhancing its artificial intelligence capabilities. The recent crowdfunding drive attracted notable participation from industry figures including Tim Sackett, Adam Godson, and Neil Roden.

Founded in 2016, Candidate.ID offers automated shortlists designed to save businesses time and resources during the hiring process. Its roster of clients features large organisations such as Specsavers, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Mondelez International.

From the founder

"This crowdfunding campaign was unique as we initially offered it only to industry peers, as an advocacy-building campaign as much as to raise funds. We raised £500,000 in four weeks from 550 investors and closed the campaign early."
