BOW secures £4m seed investment led by Northern Gritstone to advance robotics software
Northern Gritstone led the seed round with backing from Finance Yorkshire and NPIF II, Praetura Equity Finance to fund team expansion and product development.
BOW provides a universal robotics software platform and software development kit designed to simplify application development across diverse robotic systems. The company operates from Sheffield and was originally spun out from the University of Sheffield.
Robotics software developer BOW has secured £4m in seed funding to expand its team and accelerate product development. Northern Gritstone led the round, with participation from co-investors Finance Yorkshire and NPIF II, Praetura Equity Finance.
Spun out from the University of Sheffield, BOW provides a robot-agnostic software development kit that addresses the high cost and complexity of programming robots. The fresh capital follows recent commercial momentum for the firm, which counts Raspberry Pi co-founder Liz Upton as chair of the board.
