The funding round was backed by Skyscanner co-founder Gareth Williams alongside Scottish Enterprise and Equity Gap.
Edinburgh-based smart home security start-up offering DIY alarm systems and connected home solutions.
Boundary Technologies has secured £3.7m in a seed follow-on investment round to scale its operations and develop its technology. The funding includes £1.5m from Skyscanner co-founder Gareth Williams, alongside participation from existing backers Scottish Enterprise and Equity Gap, as well as company executives.
The capital will be deployed to expand the team, enhance product development, and build out a local crime information sharing network. The business aims to double its headcount and prepare for a subsequent, larger funding round.
From the founder
"This is hugely exciting news and is a change of trajectory from our original, more modest ambitions – we are now set on the path for Boundary to become a top-tier European home security business. To have someone with the calibre of Gareth giving our product his backing and mentorship is incredible; we have massive plans for the future."
