Borderless provides an end to end software platform that helps care providers automate the hiring and onboarding of international workers. The technology streamlines recruitment, immigration, relocation and compliance.
Borderless has secured £2.5m in a seed funding round led by Backed VC. The round also drew participation from Tiny VC alongside angel investors Charlie Songhurst and Chris Mairs.
Based in London, the start-up operates an end to end platform designed to help care providers manage international hiring and sponsorship. The fresh capital will support the company as it delivers its software to care providers with up to 500 employees and targets expansion across the UK healthcare sector.
The business aims to address chronic care worker shortages while removing intermediaries that contribute to modern slavery and high costs for candidates.

"We met at Entrepreneur First, where we spent hundreds of hours with care providers who were turning down hundreds of thousands of pounds every year in contracts because they couldn’t find the staff they needed to service them. We realised this was partly because of the time and money they had to spend learning how to stay compliant, often working with expensive third party lawyers and recruiters. We saw how solving those high costs could positively impact the care industry – and that’s why we started Borderless."
