Bonnet secures £850k Seed investment led by Ascension Ventures to expand its electric vehicle charging platform.
The financing round was led by Ascension Ventures to support team growth and network expansion.
Bonnet operates an electric vehicle charger aggregator app that connects drivers with hundreds of thousands of charging points across the UK and Europe. The platform simplifies public charging by removing the need for multiple apps and cards.
London based electric vehicle platform Bonnet has secured £850k in equity financing. The round was led by Ascension Ventures, with participation from Imperial College London and APX, alongside a £70k grant from Innovate UK and OZEV.
Established in October 2019 by Patrick Reich and Eliot Makabu, the company provides drivers with real-time data on charge point availability and offers flexible charging bundles. The fresh capital will be directed towards team expansion and growing the platform network partnerships.
Bonnet currently aggregates locations across the UK and aims to integrate a significant share of national charge points by the end of the year. The company also plans to introduce semi-public and private charging options to enable domestic owners to monetise their assets.
