Bloemteknik raises £3.2m from Foresight Group and Innovate UK to expand its smart lighting platform
The Cardiff-based agricultural technology company secured funding to scale international operations and advance its autonomous software ecosystem.
Cardiff-based Bloemteknik develops modular LED lighting platforms and autonomous software for vertical farms and commercial greenhouses.
Bloemteknik has secured £2.5m in funding led by Foresight Group alongside a £700k grant from Innovate UK. Founded in 2023 by former GE executives, the Cardiff-based agricultural technology company provides modular LED systems and its autonomous GreenFingers software to commercial growers. The capital will be used to strengthen delivery capacity, drive international expansion, and fund new hires in Wales.
The investment marks the seventh deal from the £130m Investment Fund for Wales backed by the British Business Bank. Bloemteknik aims to use the proceeds to scale its operations and accelerate the commercial rollout of its software-led agricultural lighting platform.
