Biorelate secures £6.5m in Series A funding led by Maven Capital Partners and YFM Equity Partners to drive expansion

The financing round was backed by Maven Capital Partners, YFM Equity Partners, Triple Point Ventures, and regional funds to support US growth.

Biorelate curates biomedical knowledge using a proprietary artificial intelligence platform to assist pharmaceutical and life sciences organisations with drug discovery. The company operates from the UK and works with global enterprises.

Biorelate has secured £6.5m in Series A funding led by Maven Capital Partners and YFM Equity Partners. The round also drew participation from Triple Point Ventures, NPIF - Maven Equity Finance, and angel investors from the Manchester Tech Trust. The business will deploy the capital to scale its commercial and technical operations while initiating expansion into the United States.

Founded in 2014, the company applies natural language processing and machine learning to capture biomedical data that remains absent from standard databases. Since launching its Galactic AI platform in 2020, Biorelate has secured contracts with major international pharmaceutical companies including AstraZeneca and Idorsia.
