bikeZaar has secured angel investment from high-profile backers including Gareth Mobley and Olympic triathletes Alistair and Jonny Brownlee. The funding will support the company as it looks to scale its online marketplace platform and expand its reach globally. Mobley and Alistair Brownlee will also join the board as non-executive directors.
The platform integrates digital tools with traditional retail to help local bike shops compete in e-commerce by aggregating offline inventory from warehouses and stores. With backing from sector experts, the business aims to capitalise on the growing shift towards marketplace models in retail.
