UKTV Ventures and GreenBank Capital have backed Beelivery in its latest funding round to support customer acquisition and business growth.
Beelivery is an on-demand grocery delivery service operating in the UK. The company relies on a crowd-sourced network of drivers to fulfil orders rapidly.
Beelivery has secured £4.5m in Series A funding from UKTV Ventures and GreenBank Capital. The capital will support the company as it accelerates its growth strategy and looks to acquire new customers over the coming years. UKTV Ventures provided part of the financing alongside a £2.5m contribution from GreenBank Capital, which has also been appointed as merchant bank for future fundraising and a potential stock exchange listing. The fresh funds arrive as demand for rapid grocery delivery remains elevated, allowing the business to build upon its existing market position.
From the founder
"These significant investments will allow us to accelerate our leadership position, continue to increase brand awareness, as well as bring new innovations to our unique offering for our customers. The confidence our consumers have shown over the past 12 months has been excellent, and the feedback around ‘reliability’ from our corporate partners during the pandemic has also been outstanding. The feedback is testament to our business model and hardworking community of drivers and support staff."
