The financing round was led by First Capital Ventures with participation from existing investors.
B-Secur develops advanced ECG and EKG technology for consumer and medical devices. Its flagship HeartKey algorithms provide medical-grade monitoring capabilities for wearable technology.
B-Secur has secured $12m in new funding in a financing round led by Denver-based First Capital Ventures. Existing backers including Kernel Capital, Clarendon Fund Managers, and Wharton Asset Management also participated in the round.
The capital will be deployed to accelerate the company's commercial expansion across the United States within the consumer and medical sectors. The funding will additionally support the further development of its FDA-cleared HeartKey ECG technology as it integrates into consumer devices and remote patient monitoring systems.
Alongside the funding, B-Secur announced key executive appointments to bolster its American operations, including former Medtronic executive Dr David Steinhaus as Americas Advisor to the Board.
