The London fintech closed its SEIS tranche in under seven weeks as it builds institutional-grade evaluation tools.
Atlas Quant develops institutional-grade software designed to analyse investment strategies and expose vulnerabilities in historical performance.
London-based fintech Atlas Quant has successfully closed an oversubscribed SEIS tranche in under seven weeks, marking the initial phase of its current Seed round. The company is currently finalising remaining EIS and international allocations. Backing has come from senior market participants and trading heads with experience at major institutions including Citadel, Millennium, BlackRock, Brevan Howard, Morgan Stanley, Citi, Marshall Wace, Point72 and QRT.
The firm focuses on providing institutional allocators with advanced diagnostic tools through its core platform, Atlas Prime. The technology evaluates investment strategies to detect potential overfitting, alpha decay, performance drift and false positives. Atlas Prime is already in use by institutional clients, including a global organisation representing over $70bn in assets under management, alongside a pipeline of more than 50 prospective institutional users.
From the founder
"We believe institutional investors need a much deeper understanding of whether an investment strategy is genuinely robust before capital is deployed. Historical performance alone can conceal overfitting, instability, deterioration and other risks. Atlas Prime is designed to give allocators a forensic view of those weaknesses and help them make better-informed investment decisions."
