Atelerix has closed a seed funding round of an undisclosed amount. The investment was led by UK Innovation & Science Seed Fund, alongside new backers Newable Private Investing and Oxford Technology Management.
The company will use the capital to bring its cell storage products to market. Atelerix commercialises hydrogel technology that allows viable cells, including stem cells and cell-based assays, to be stored and transported at ambient temperatures.
Following the transaction, Dr Andrew Muir of UK Innovation & Science Seed Fund has joined the board of directors.
