Big Pi Ventures led the seed round for the cloud-native business intelligence platform, with backing from Propelling Tech Ventures and strategic angels.
Astrato provides a cloud-native business intelligence platform that allows teams to build live, self-service analytics and data applications directly on cloud data warehouses. The company serves global customers and operates from London.
Astrato has secured £3.7m in a seed round led by Big Pi Ventures, alongside participation from Propelling Tech Ventures and more than 30 strategic angels. The fresh capital will be deployed to expand engineering and go-to-market teams while accelerating the development of AI-native features.
Founded by the team behind Vizlib, the company provides a cloud-native execution layer for modern data stacks, connecting directly to warehouses like Snowflake and BigQuery. The platform replaces traditional dashboards with live data applications supporting real-time collaboration and embedded workflows, underpinning rapid commercial expansion.
From the founder
"Astrato is the execution layer of the modern data stack. It connects directly to the cloud and gives teams a unified space to explore, act, and collaborate on data without duplication, IT bottlenecks, or licensing friction. Unlike legacy BI vendors pushing continuous price hikes, our usage-based model means customers only pay for what they consume, making Astrato accessible for both lean startups and global enterprises."

Investor perspective
"Business intelligence is entering a new phase – beyond dashboards. Astrato is helping teams do more with their data, faster. It’s a no-code execution layer the market has been waiting for."
