AntennaWare raises £300k in seed funding from QUBIS and Techstart Ventures to commercialise antenna research
The Belfast-based wearable technology company secured the backing of QUBIS and Techstart Ventures.
AntennaWare is a wearable technology firm based in Belfast that develops high-performance antenna solutions for medical and sports applications. The company was established as a spin-out from Queen's University Belfast.
AntennaWare has secured £300k in a seed funding round led jointly by QUBIS and Techstart Ventures through Invest Northern Ireland's Access to Finance fund. The capital will enable the business to commercialise its patented research originating from Queen's University Belfast.
Founded in 2020, the wearable technology enterprise aims to improve the range, power efficiency and reliability of wireless medical and sports devices. Its founders bring nearly 25 years of combined experience in the sector following research conducted at the institution's Centre for Wireless Innovation.
