Bristol-based Anaphite develops techniques for integrating graphene into lithium-ion batteries to improve electric vehicle performance.
Anaphite has raised £1.2m in a funding round led by Zero Carbon Capital to advance its graphene technology for lithium-ion batteries. The capital will support the commercialisation of innovations designed to lower the cost and reduce the charging times of electric vehicle batteries. Additional participants in the round include Bristol Private Equity Club, Syndicate Room, and a group of angel investors.
The Bristol-based startup aims to accelerate the transition to zero-emissions transport by removing key purchase barriers for electric vehicles. Its production process is designed to integrate into existing manufacturing lines to enable rapid scaling across the industry.
