AMPLY Discovery raises £1.3m in a seed round led by Twin Path Ventures to advance its drug discovery platform.
Twin Path Ventures led the seed financing for the Belfast biotechnology firm to accelerate its preclinical discovery programmes.
AMPLY Discovery is an artificial intelligence driven drug discovery company based in the United Kingdom. The firm leverages multi-omic datasets and laboratory testing to generate therapeutic programmes for partnering.
AMPLY Discovery has secured £1.3m in a seed financing round led by Twin Path Ventures. The capital will enable the biotechnology firm to advance its proprietary artificial intelligence platform and progress its preclinical drug discovery programmes targeting aggressive cancers and drug resistant infections. Additional participation in the round came from Venture Science, Co-fund NI, the British Business Bank, and QUBIS.
The Belfast based company originates from Queen's University Belfast and focuses on addressing treatment gaps caused by genetic diversity and antimicrobial resistance. By combining machine learning with synthetic biology, the team aims to deliver effective therapies more rapidly than traditional pharmaceutical development allows.
