The start-up secured backing from angel investors alongside support from QVentures.
Amicable provides a digital platform designed to help couples navigate divorce without the use of lawyers.
Divorce technology start-up amicable has raised almost £500k in funding from a group of business angels, with support from QVentures. The capital will be directed towards further platform development and expanding the company's customer reach.
The business combines digital tools with specialist divorce coaches to help couples manage separation and family breakdown without traditional legal representation. Since its launch in late 2016, the platform has assisted hundreds of couples through the divorce process.
Co-founder Pip Wilson noted that the funding will enable the team to scale operations and address what the company describes as a broken model for divorce. QVentures assisted in connecting the start-up with its network of angel investors for the round.
