Alusid manufactures sustainable architectural materials by recycling industrial waste ceramics and glass.
Alusid has secured £1.3m in funding from backers including Green Angel Syndicate. The capital will be used to support the design, planning and location of a new manufacturing facility.
The company transforms waste ceramics and glass into high-quality building materials sold under the SilicaStone brand. Its clients include Amazon, Four Seasons Hotels, Nandoes and Wells Fargo Bank.
The new production plant is expected to scale up manufacturing capacity significantly by 2020 and create over 70 jobs.
