The Newcastle technology start-up secured backing from Mercia and the North East Venture Fund to expand its team and product.
Allegrow provides a sales automation platform designed to help business to business companies connect with key decision-makers through data-driven outreach. The platform aims to streamline the lead generation process and increase meeting bookings for sales teams.
Allegrow has secured £400k in a seed investment round led by Mercia to support product development and team expansion.
The funding comprises backing from the North East Venture Fund, managed by Mercia, alongside Mercia's EIS funds and private investors. The capital will enable the Newcastle-based sales automation software provider to create six new jobs over the coming year.
Brothers Ruari and Kieran Baker founded the business in 2019, previously operating under the name Direct Software. The platform is designed to automate repetitive outreach processes and help sales representatives focus on customer conversations.
From the founder
"Sales is no longer about the 'gift of the gab'. It is a repeatable and structured process and technology can help to achieve results faster. Allegrow allows companies to increase sales dramatically by eliminating repetitive processes, allowing sales people to spend more of their time having conversations with prospects and turning cold leads into customers."
