Alfa secures £495k in pre-seed funding from Fuel Ventures to scale its AI recruitment platform

Alfa builds an artificial intelligence agent designed to automate recruitment tasks, including candidate sourcing, screening, and outreach. The technology aims to reduce administrative workloads for hiring managers while mitigating bias in the hiring process.
London recruitment technology start-up Alfa has secured £495k in pre-seed funding at a valuation of $6m. The investment round was led by Fuel Ventures, with participation from Davie Rowe, Pierre Decote, Chris Adelsbach, and other angel investors.
The capital will support the continued development of the company's autonomous recruitment agent, which automates administrative hiring tasks and conducts candidate interactions. Founders Alfie Whattam, Ed Godshaw, and Linda Yu launched the platform to address inefficiencies and high costs in traditional hiring processes.
Fuel Ventures led the financing, building on its portfolio of early-stage technology investments. The funding values the firm at $6m as it scales its AI-driven talent acquisition platform.
