aisle 3 is a London-based eCommerce start-up that aggregates online retail offers to provide consumers with a single checkout across multiple merchants. The company employs proprietary technology and machine learning to streamline product search and price comparison.

London-based eCommerce start-up aisle 3 has secured £400k in seed follow-on funding from angel investors, including backers from Snap, Catch and MoneySupermarket. The capital will be directed towards product and technology development, integrating a one-click checkout system and supporting the initial consumer launch.

Founded by Thomas J. Vosper and James Valbuena, the company has spent two years developing its platform to address fragmentation in online retail. The marketplace aggregates product data using machine learning algorithms to let users compare options by price, delivery, and sustainability before completing purchases through a unified basket.

The fresh injection of capital coincides with the rollout of the company's first product category, targeting the UK sneaker market. The founders intend to scale operations and expand their team following the latest financing round.

From the founder

"Online shopping is broken with frustrated Shoppers having to open an explosion of tabs just to find a pair of sneakers in a size that fits. I’m not prepared to accept or adapt to that experience. We’ve come a long way since I took out a personal loan to bootstrap the company and this latest round of funding will enable us to turbo-charge the business. Offering our registered aisle 3 Shoppers a single basket across any retailer is possibly the most exciting opportunity in e-commerce right now. We’re always hiring and looking forward to hearing from commercial partners, investors and potential team members ahead of our visit to Shoptalk [in Las Vegas] at the end of March "
