Airponix has secured funding from a group of members at Henley Business Angels to support its agricultural technology operations. The company has developed a soil-less cultivation system that uses a patented nutrient-rich fog to grow high-quality produce efficiently.
The capital arrives as farmers globally face mounting pressure from climate change and unpredictable weather patterns, creating a greater demand for reliable and sustainable food production methods. Airponix aims to address these challenges with a system that uses 95% less water than conventional farming.
Led by investor Jeremy Rowson, the backing from Henley Business Angels will aid the firm as it continues to develop its controlled environment agriculture solutions. The technology seeks to improve food security and lower energy consumption in crop production.
