Abtrace raises £2.1m in a seed round led by Faber to expand its healthtech platform across UK surgeries

The funding round was led by Faber with participation from Ganexa Capital and Innovate UK.
Abtrace builds machine learning software that integrates with electronic health records to help clinicians monitor and treat long term health conditions. The company works alongside the NHS to improve early detection and streamline patient care.
Abtrace has secured £2.1m in a seed funding round led by Lisbon based investor Faber, with participation from Ganexa Capital and Innovate UK. The capital will be deployed to scale the deployment of the company platform across general practices in the United Kingdom and to grow its internal engineering and data science teams.
Founded by NHS clinicians, the London based healthtech has developed an artificial intelligence layer that integrates with electronic health record systems to assist general practitioners and healthcare assistants. Following a successful pilot involving 15,000 patients, the latest injection of capital will support the ongoing development of predictive algorithms designed to identify early indicators of serious illnesses such as cancer.
From the founder
"As it stands, the management of long-term health conditions is an inefficient process for patients and their GP practice. It involves multiple appointments, duplication of tests, and tons of admin. It doesn’t deliver the best for patients and also wastes valuable NHS time and resources. Abtrace is working at the interface of AI and healthcare to transform this."
