1nhaler secures £1.5m in seed follow-on funding led by Archangels to advance its paper inhaler platform
The financing will support clinical material manufacture and preparation for regulatory studies ahead of a target marketing authorisation application.
1nhaler develops a single-dose dry powder inhaler made predominantly from cardboard. The credit card sized device uses a patented membrane system to deliver medications sustainably.
Edinburgh-based drug delivery device developer 1nhaler has secured £1.5m in seed follow-on funding to advance its paper inhaler platform. The round was led by Archangels, with additional participation from Scottish Enterprise and BBB Investments.
The fresh capital will be directed towards manufacturing clinical materials for regulatory studies, designing large-scale commercial manufacturing processes, and targeting a first Marketing Authorisation Application by late 2027. This follows a previous £2m raise in 2023, also backed by Archangels.
1nhaler's single-dose dry powder inhaler offers an eco-friendly alternative to bulky plastic devices. The credit card sized, flat-pack design transforms into a three-dimensional inhaler, aiming to reduce costs and environmental impact while matching the performance of established multidose devices.
